  1. I had clutter fatigue for months. It was always because of my daughters toys being all over the house and not knowing where to put them away since everything was mixed in different places. I organized her toys a few times but it still got so messy and she could never find the toy she was looking for which was so stressful. I finally broke down and hired a professional organizer. I wanted her to organize my whole house but she only had time to organize my daughters room but once her room was organized I got a burst of motivation to finish the job on my own. She organized it so that each type of toy was in a corner, for example her animal toys and accessories in one corner, her dolls and doll clothing in another corner and her arts and crafts in another. So now when I pick up the toys I know where they go. I also bought a label maker and labeled all the bins to help her keep it organized and It’s been a lifesaver.

  2. Hi

    Thank you

    1. Decluttering, deep cleaning, and redesigning my apartment certainly supported mental health for me. My home went from being a cluttered mess for which I hired someone to clean every two weeks because I was too depressed to deal with it, to being a sanctuary that I love tending, spending time in, and entertaining guests either for weekly lunches, overnight stays, and a soon to be quarterly artists salon. Certainly it took more than a beautiful apartment to get me to this state of mind (there’s nothing like surrendering to a qualified professional(s) to help one through the ugly haze of depression). Changing my living space played a major role in supporting that. There’s nothing like contemplating a therapy session in a beautiful room with a cup of hot tea while listening to a cello or violin concerto streaming while maybe smoothing my fingers along a deep purple, velvet, lumbar pillow.
