  1. One time I visited my parents, my mom snagged my car keys out of my purse and loaded up my trunk with my old stuff. She never said a word. I didn’t find it until I opened my trunk to load groceries. Sneaky mom. Smart mom.

    1. My mom did the same to me when my brother rented a moving truck to drop off an elliptical. She put 5 boxed of old paperwork for him to drop off as well. I had jusr moved into a new house. I was not amused.

  2. A word to the parents:
Your child may appreciate the chance to remove his stored items before you throw them away. I would have.

  3. I asked my son to decide what he wanted to keep from his long abandoned bedroom. he packed up a box of ‘important’ items that were fully placed in a cupboard for safe keeping. When I was moving house ten years later I asked him what he was going to do with it and he said bin it. Geez.

  4. Just FYI, most libraries won’t put donations into their collection. Rather, they save them for their routine book sales that they use as fundraisers. And don’t donate junk to the library, they don’t want your 40 year old set of encyclopedias or 600 volumes of National Geographic!
