    1. all of this is expert advice that I wholeheartedly agree with! when I began the process which I believe is done now I like to start small and stay consistent! consistency was the absolute key and never get overwhelmed. it is a work in progress so never bite off more than you can chew at a time. thank you Juliana! 😊

      1. Totally agree.

I even keep a bin liner handy and add clothes to it/take. I take to a charity shop even if not too heavy.

Little and often definitely the key for me.

  1. My pantry is the worry place for me. Discovering all those out of dates of packet foods – shameful!

  2. A good number 6 for where to start would be Kitchen in my opinion. One drawer and cupboard at a time with a give away box and garbage handy. Put the box away after each days work at decluttering however many drawers or cupboards you get done at a stretch.

  3. Okay! I confess…I have left the paper work, other peoples stuff, photos and my closet until the last. Now I am needing help in the 3 first mentioned challenges. Yikes…I have bee looking at it for over a year and I need motivation soon.

  4. Start with your most visible spaces… entry, living room, kitchen or dining room. Stay out of drawers, cabinets & closets until you’ve decluttered all flat surfaces in the space. After that, you can do closed of spaces or move onto the next open & highly visible space.

  5. Hobby and craft spaces are extremely hard, especially if you intend to continue the activities. “I got that yarn at a very good price, I may want to use it for some charity knitting.”
