  1. Shopping my pantry/fridge first!
I am so guilty of doubling up or buying things on a shoestring budget and then discovering I had one (or more!) already.

  2. I moved into an apartment in March and I have to downsize everything my furniture is too big for small rooms. So I have taken a portion to Good will with the 90 day rule. I have 2 storage rooms to clear out and only able to get help once a week. it is hard. but I have been doing the rules and not buying anything on the spot . waiting ar least 8 to 10 days for purchases. slow but steady replacing all with smaller versions.

  3. Not sure if minimalists go along with this, but I eat vegetarian and buy organic beans, lentils, and grains in bulk shipped from New York and California. Every other Sunday I dedicate several hours to preparing dishes to freeze lasting two weeks. It allows me to take something out of the freezer each night, microwave for 8 minutes and voila, eat. Every three days I go to grocers to stock up on Greek yogurt, fresh produce for breakfast, lunch, and snacks and to accompany dinners. I also keep a stash of various flours, nuts, and seeds in fridge for baking bread. There are days when I want something other than the routine dinner at which time I find some fun recipe by Hetty Lui McKinnon, buy the ingredients, and try my hand at creating it. Sometimes I make a mess, but mostly I surprise myself with yumminess. Its feeding myself made simple.
